Toxic Masculinity Test
People first talked about toxic masculinity in the 1980s. Scientists have tried to explain how "traditional masculinity" harms males. They paid attention to the following norms accepted in society:
- men should be able to hide their emotions;
- should not show their weaknesses;
- men solve their problems by resorting to domination or aggression;
- they seek medical help less often.
The term toxic masculinity suggests that traits that many people attribute to masculinity harm men more than they are beneficial. Do you want to know your level of toxic masculinity? Then push the start button!
