Socionics distinguishes sixteen personality types, which are split into four sets of opposing qualities - dichotomies:

  • Logic - ethics
  • Intuition - sensory
  • Rational - irrational
  • Extravert - introvert

These dichotomies determine pronounced characteristics of a person. In turn, dichotomies are distributed between groups that share similar traits (quadras). Each quadra has its own atmosphere. For example, gullibility, sense of humor, and sexuality. And now, let's look at each one of them in detail.

How were pseudonyms chosen?

Aušra Augustinavičiūtė, the founder of this methodology, studied the biographies of historical figures and related these qualities to their persona. Since literature was not so popular and accessible at that time, some descriptions do not correspond to the characteristics of historical figures they refer to. Therefore, the Institute of Socionics is continuing with the research and correcting the final results.
