Is everything that happens to us really predestined from above? Can a person go against his or her own destiny, if such a destiny exists? The main characters of "Frequencies" are trying to solve these and other no less important questions concerning love, friendship and even the laws of the universe.
What the movie is about
The events of the movie "Frequencies" unfold in the not-too-distant future. Now people are evaluated not only by intelligence, but also by a new characteristic - frequency. The higher the frequency score, which denotes a person's resonance with their destiny, the luckier they will be in life.
Lucky people with high frequence are never late, get maximum opportunities, and favorable offers fall on them as though from the Heavens.
People with low frequence are hardened losers. They are always bound to fail no matter what they take up doing. Even getting to work or going to the store always turns into a big problem.
That's why people with different levels of frequency prefer to stay away from each other.
But what happens if a guy with low frequence wants to be with a girl who has one of the highest frequencies? What if fate doesn't even allow them to be around each other for longer than one minute?
The main character Zach decides to defy the world where everything is predetermined from birth and to be together with his beloved Marie at all costs. However, he had no idea how his desire would turn out.

A stunning future or a boring life
Have you ever been afraid to take the final exams at school? How about a test that determines your future?
Children are now required to take tests that determine what their future life will be like. The complexity or logic of the tests is unknown, but the outcome of the tests determines if either a stunning future or a boring life awaits the children after taking them.
For example, Marie (Elinor Wilde) has discovered in herself an ultra-high level of frequence (luck). But even with this result, the girl can hardly be called happy. She is withdrawn, it is difficult for her to make friends and socialize with other people.
Zack (Daniel Fraser) is her complete opposite. A guy with an ultra-low luck level. He has no chance of success, but still tries to get close to Marie.
What to expect from the movie?
The "Frequencies" can be perceived as a tender, sincere, very touching futuristic love story with many obstacles on the way to the happiness of two people. And it will be right.
And you can see a series of disconnected scenes, illogical actions and incomprehensible decisions of the characters. And this will also be right. Anyway, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Everyone will find in this movie what occupies him most of all.
Is it worth watching?
"Frequencies" features a high concentration of scientific terms, mathematical theories and insights ranging from physics to music. Nevertheless, the plot will be understandable and unsophisticated in science viewers.
The play of British actors is as always at the top. They concentrate on the plot and accurately convey all the emotions inherent in a person with both low and high levels of luck.
"Frequencies" is the movie which makes you not only mindlessly watch the development of events, but begin to think. The viewer will not just transfer their eyes from picture to picture. You will definitely start reasoning and searching for answers together with the characters.
On the one hand, the movie seems to be a fiction, another alternative scenario with a familiar plot development. But on the other hand it is a scientific and factually based film about the fact that we are divided into lucky and unlucky people. And if so, is there an optimal relationship for us with each other? What is "luck" as not persistence and stubbornness of a person, relentlessly moving forward to achieve their goal.
