This methodology, based on the foundation of Hall's theories, is designed to identify a person's ability to manage and recognize their own emotions, as well as their ability to communicate and understand the feelings of others. These key skills are defined as a person's level of emotional intelligence.

This indicator is capable of changing throughout a person's life. In the case when a personality is aimed at self-development, strives to achieve inner harmony, actively learns to interact with the world around them, their EQ will certainly increase. At the same time, it can remain at an unchanged level if a person has no aspiration for self-improvement.

The higher the level of emotional intelligence in an individual, the easier it is for them to build relationships with other people. Such individuals are able to easily achieve their goals, they live in harmony with themselves and with the world around them.

People with low EQ usually face difficulties in communicating in a team, as it is difficult for them to understand the emotions and moods of others, which can sometimes lead to conflict situations. They often cannot manage their moods and behaviors because they do not understand the underlying causes of their emotional reactions. Granville Stanley Hall

Born in the United States of America, in the state of Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard University with a doctorate in psychology. Hall has devoted himself to the study of general psychology, with a special emphasis on proprioreception (the sense of position and movement of body parts in space). He is one of the pioneers of pedology and founder of the first scientific journals devoted to questions of age psychology. The Pedagogical Seminary and Journal of Genetic Psychology began to be published under his leadership in 1891, and the Journal of Educational Psychology began to be published in 1910.

Instructions for taking the test

During the test, you will be presented with thirty-five statements regarding your emotions or behaviors, with multiple-choice answers. You will need to choose the one that is most appropriate for you. The results of the test will show your EQ level according to five main dimensions: emotional awareness (self-awareness), managing your emotions (self-regulation), motivation, empathy and the ability to recognize the emotions of others (social skills). For each of these parameters the degree of expression will be determined: high, medium or low.

Self-regulation

The ability to self-control and the ability to keep negative emotions under control. Individuals with a high degree of self-regulation are characterized by clarity of thought and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. They are tactful, responsible, able to recognize their mistakes and take responsibility for achieving goals. Such people easily adapt to new information and changes in the environment, demonstrating flexibility in behavior.

Motivation

Desire for self-realization and achievement of goals. It is manifested through a focus on results and the search for the most effective ways to achieve goals. Highly motivated individuals are able to work effectively in a team and contribute to its overall mission. They are not afraid of failure, ready for justified risks.

Empathy

The ability to understand and share the feelings of others, to show interest in their experiences. Empathic people are able to be attentive to facial expressions and gestures, anticipate emotions and moods. They treat others with respect, regardless of their social status, background or educational level. Such people are tolerant and show tolerance to the shortcomings of others.

Social skills

The ability to influence others, the ability to seek compromise and to convey one's point of view persuasively. Individuals with advanced social skills are able to gain trust, negotiate with diplomacy, deal with difficult people, motivate and inspire those around them.
