Math Test “Quantity” for Ages 4–5
Ages 4–5 are a time when a child can think in images, voluntary memory and imagination develop, attention improves, and speech becomes richer. This is the period when a young child can remember information needed for school with little effort.
It is important for adults to remember that teaching a 4- or 5-year-old should be clear and free of unnecessary material. The children’s activities for ages 4–5 below are well matched to this age, so it will be easy for the child to understand the test material.
These test tasks for children ages 4–5 are designed so the child will not be bored. Math for young children includes seven well-structured test items, each with only one correct answer, that support the child’s further development.
It is best for an adult to take the test together with the child. After the child finishes the test task, praise them regardless of the result. Let’s begin!
