Absolute scale

Absolute scale – is a measurement scale on which a reference point can be established in the form of an absolute zero, which means the complete absence of the property being measured. This scale is used to measure quantitative characteristics of objects, items, events, and other phenomena where there is precise and continuous measurement of a property without any restrictions. The absolute scale allows arithmetic operations, such as addition and subtraction, to be performed with measurements and reflects strict quantitative values. This type of scale plays an important role in various fields, including psychology, where it is used for the quantitative assessment of various phenomena and characteristics of human behavior.
