Actualization

Actualization (English: Actualization) is a psychological process through which a person seeks to realize their inner potential, achieve goals, and fulfill their wishes and aspirations. The term is often associated with the concept of self-actualization proposed by the American psychologist Abraham Maslow, which is part of his hierarchy of needs.

According to Maslow, self-actualization is at the top of the hierarchy of human needs and represents the striving for the full development of one’s own capacities and talents. It is a process in which the individual becomes increasingly integrated and whole, demonstrating and developing their best qualities and abilities.

Actualization may include the development of creative abilities, the search for and realization of life goals, and the pursuit of personal growth and self-knowledge. This process is also associated with improving quality of life and gaining satisfaction and happiness.
