Tactile agnosia

Tactile agnosia (English: tactile agnosia) is a neuropsychological disorder in which a person has difficulty recognizing and identifying objects, items, and parts of their own body through tactile sensations, caused by improper processing of tactile signals in the brain. This condition is usually associated with damage to the inferior parietal lobule of the brain and may lead to significant impairments in the perception of the surrounding environment and one’s own body.
