Agoraphobia

Agoraphobia (from the Greek words "agora" - marketplace and "phobos" - fear) is a mental disorder characterized by an intense fear of open spaces or public places, especially if these places are crowded.

People with agoraphobia may experience severe panic attacks when they are in such situations, and they often avoid leaving home or other activities in order to avoid encountering the places or situations that trigger their fear.

Agoraphobia is a type of phobia and can greatly limit a person's life, making everyday activities such as going to the store, traveling on public transportation, or taking part in social events difficult.
