Agraphia

Agraphia (from the Greek "a" - a negative particle and "grapho" - I write) is a psychophysiological disorder in which a person loses the ability to write and form letters, syllables, and words, despite preserved movements of the hand and arm. This disorder is usually associated with damage to the occipital part of the cerebral cortex and may be accompanied by speech impairments.

People with agraphia have difficulty writing even the simplest words and phrases, their handwriting becomes illegible, and they may make spelling errors. This disorder can significantly hinder communication and note-taking.

Agraphia may result from various conditions, including cerebrovascular disorders, head injuries, tumors, and other pathologies.
