Alateen (Alateen) – is a voluntary and informal support group for adolescents aged 13 to 19 whose lives are affected by alcoholism in one or both of their parents or caregivers.
The main goal of Alateen is to provide young people with a safe place where they can share their feelings, experiences, and concerns, as well as receive support from others who are going through similar situations.
Alateen holds regular meetings where adolescents can discuss their feelings, share stories, and find ways to cope with alcohol addiction in their families. Alateen groups are often based on the same principles of anonymity and confidentiality as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Al-Anon (for relatives and friends of people with alcoholism).
