Amimia (hypomimia) — a neurological disorder manifested by impaired ability to express emotional states and intentions through facial expressions and facial gestures. Patients with amimia may have difficulty conveying their feelings and intentions to other people because they find it hard to control the facial muscles needed for emotional expression and communication. This condition may be caused by various neurological disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, stroke, or other brain injuries.
