Anhedonia

Anhedonia is a mental state in which a person loses the ability to experience pleasure and joy from everyday pleasures and activities that previously brought them satisfaction. This state includes a loss of interest in hobbies, socializing with friends and family, work, and other aspects of life.

Anhedonia is considered one of the symptoms characteristic of various mental and psychiatric disorders, such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and many others. Its manifestations can range from temporary periods of loss of interest to long-term and profound apathy.
