For example, if someone claims that they passed an exam successfully, although in fact they did not take it, this is an example of lying. Also, when a person says that they have already completed a task, although in fact they have not started doing it, this is also a form of lying. Lying may be used for different motives, such as avoiding punishment, obtaining a benefit, or maintaining an image in front of others.
