Homosexuality is sexual attraction and sexual relations between persons of the same sex. This term covers both male homosexuality (attraction to men) and female homosexuality (attraction to women).
In male homosexuality, several forms of attraction are distinguished:
- Ephebophilia is attraction to adolescent boys or male teenagers.
- Androphilia or andromania is attraction to adult men.
- Pederasty, in the narrow sense, means anal sex between an adult man and a boy.
In female homosexuality, several forms of attraction are also distinguished:
- Lesbianism is attraction to women and sexual relationships between women.
- Corophilia is attraction to girls.
- Parthenophilia is attraction to young women.
- Gynephilia is attraction to adult women.
- Graophilia is attraction to older women.
