Pantomime

Pantomime (English: Pantomime) – is a form of theatrical art in which the plot, characters, and emotions are conveyed through gestures, body movements, and facial expressions, without the use of words. Pantomime is oriented toward visual perception and requires the actor to have a high level of physical skill and the ability to express complex ideas without verbal communication.

This art form has a long history and roots going back to antiquity. Pantomime allows the actor to create imaginary objects, scenes, and characters using only the body and facial expression. This requires the audience to use active imagination to reconstruct the full picture of what is happening.

In psychology, pantomime is of interest as a way of studying nonverbal communication and the influence of body movements and facial expressions on a person's perception and emotional state. It can also be used for therapeutic purposes to develop social skills, self-expression, and emotional release.
