Paranoid type

Paranoid type of character accentuation, according to G.A. Lichko's classification, describes people with certain features in behavior and relationships. Here are some characteristic traits of this type:

  1. Fixation on ideas: Paranoid individuals often become fixed on certain ideas or beliefs, which can have a deep influence on their behavior and interactions.

  2. Suspiciousness: They may be excessively suspicious and distrustful of others. They may suspect hidden motives and conspiracies.

  3. Persistence and stubbornness: Paranoid individuals usually show persistence and determination in achieving their goals, because they believe in the correctness of their convictions.

  4. Resentfulness and vindictiveness: They may be prone to holding grudges and seeking revenge against those whom they believe have acted treacherously.

  5. Struggle and competition: Paranoid individuals often perceive life as a struggle and see other people as competitors or even enemies.

  6. Strong will: They usually possess strong willpower and the ability to withstand pressure in order to defend their beliefs.

  7. Life philosophy: For them, life may be perceived as a constant struggle and test, and they are ready to fight for what they believe is right.

The paranoid type of character accentuation can affect an individual's relationships and behavior both positively (for example, in striving to achieve goals) and negatively (in the form of suspiciousness and conflicts).
