Psychopathy (англ. Psychopathy) – is a complex psychological condition characterized by a specific set of personality traits and behavioral features. Key characteristics of psychopathy include emotional detachment, lack of empathy, callousness, egocentricity, superficial charm, manipulativeness and low anxiety. People with psychopathy often display antisocial behavior and have difficulty forming healthy interpersonal relationships.
One of the key aspects of psychopathy is the inability or difficulty in building deep emotional bonds with other people. Psychopaths often do not feel guilt or remorse for their actions, which can lead to behavior that is dangerous to society and those around them.
It should be noted that psychopathy differs from other mental disorders, such as antisocial personality disorder, although these conditions may overlap. Psychopathy is a more complex and multifaceted condition, often involving the ability to mask antisocial tendencies well.
Psychopathy is not always associated with criminal behavior; many people with psychopathic traits function successfully in society. However, their behavior can cause problems in personal relationships, at work, and in social interactions.
