Sexual sadism

Sexual sadism (from the English "sadism", named after the French writer Marquis de Sade) is a form of sexual orientation or sexual gratification in which an individual derives pleasure from inflicting physical or emotional suffering, as well as humiliation, on their sexual partner. The term “sadism” was introduced by R. von Krafft-Ebing.

Sadistic tendencies include acts such as physical punishment, torture, humiliation, and other forms of sexual violence against a sexual partner. However, it is important to note that most people who have sadistic fantasies or tendencies do not act on them in real life and limit the expression of these fantasies to their own imagination.

Sadism may manifest in various forms, including sadistic attraction to persons of the same or opposite sex, zoosadism (attraction to animals), as well as combinations with other sexual preferences such as pedophilia (attraction to children) and gerontophilia (attraction to older adults).
