Sensitive type

The sensitive type of character accentuation, according to G. A. Lichko’s classification, describes people with certain character and behavioral traits. Here are some features of this type:

  1. Heightened sensitivity: Representatives of the sensitive type are characterized by high sensitivity to surrounding events and experiences. They may easily take in both joyful and sad moments and react to them strongly on an emotional level.

  2. Empathy: Sensitive individuals usually have a pronounced capacity for empathy. They can intuitively understand other people’s feelings and emotions and be responsive to their needs.

  3. Emotional responsiveness: These people easily “tune in” to the emotional state of those around them. They may show strong emotional reactions, both positive and negative, depending on the circumstances.

  4. Intuition: Sensitive individuals may have well-developed intuition, which allows them to sense and understand the nuances of interactions with others.

  5. Outward expressiveness: They may express their emotions openly and intensely. Their mood may be easily visible to others.

The sensitive type of character accentuation can have both positive and negative sides. On the one hand, it allows them to enjoy vivid moments in life and to be good listeners and a source of support for other people. On the other hand, excessive emotional responsiveness can lead to stress and emotional exhaustion.
