Self-awareness

Self-awareness (англ. Self-awareness) – is the ability to be aware of one’s individuality, including personal thoughts, emotions, aspirations, self-perception, and one’s own behavior. It is the process by which a person recognizes themselves as a unique being with distinct feelings, motives, and characteristics.

It encompasses not only the perception of one’s own internal states, but also awareness of how the person manifests in interaction with the external world and society. This includes awareness of one’s strengths and weaknesses, values, beliefs, and ambitions.

The development of self-awareness is fundamental to personal growth and self-actualization. It provides better control over emotions, helps in making balanced decisions, forming life goals, and improving relationships with other people.
Self-awareness also plays a significant role in psychological health, promoting deep self-understanding, reducing internal conflicts, and increasing life satisfaction.
