Sexual inversion

Sexual inversion is a concept that was previously used to describe homosexuality, i.e., a situation in which a person experiences sexual attraction to people of the same sex. The term «inversion» in this context was introduced into the science of sexuality in the early 20th century, and it was often associated with negative and stigmatizing views of homosexuality.

Over time, understanding and terminology in the field of sexuality have changed. Today, the term «homosexuality» or «gay» is more widely accepted and used to describe a situation in which a person experiences sexual attraction to people of the same sex. The term «sexual inversion» is outdated and is rarely used in contemporary science and public discourse.
