Valence

Valence is a characteristic that reflects the degree of attractiveness or undesirability of an object, event, or action for an individual. This term is associated with emotional coloring and motivation, determining the extent to which a person approaches something or avoids it. In the psychological context, valence means that each object or event has its own evaluation, which may be positive (associated with pleasant associations) or negative (associated with unpleasant associations), and these evaluations influence the person's decisions and motivations.
