Robert Sternberg is a professor of psychology at the University of Oklahoma and is the author of the "Three Component Theory of Love." This theory describes the formation of relationships in a couple. Robert Sternberg has identified three facets of relationships, taking into account the leading factors of human life:

• Psychological factor - emotional closeness;
• Biological factor - bodily intimacy;
• Social factor - loyalty.
