Not only adults, but also children often wonder what stage of development their intelligence is at. Most of the well-known IQ tests are originally designed for adult audiences, but there is an adapted version based on the research of P. Rziczan specifically for children.

Who needs an IQ test? And what for?

The main reason for the test is natural curiosity about one's own mental abilities. When it comes to children, parents are naturally eager to test their child's intellectual abilities. This helps in determining whether their mental development needs to be promoted more actively. In addition, IQ tests are widely used by practicing psychologists in school and out-of-school educational settings.

Who and when developed the test

The test is based on the work of Slovak psychologist P. Rziczan, which he created for psychological and pedagogical research in 1971. As a result of our efforts to develop completely new tasks a modern test was created that retains only the basic structure of the original Rziczan test.

How to take the test correctly

Test participants are presented with a row of three pictures arranged in a particular order and a fourth, blank, with a question mark. Underneath them there are six answer choices, one of which is the correct answer for the empty cell. The test requires logical thinking to identify the regularity of the change of the depicted figures. The tasks become progressively more difficult. For younger children, it is recommended to complete the first tasks together with an adult.

Results and their evaluation

Only correct answers are considered in the test, which are summarized into IQ points. Mistakes and missing questions do not affect the final score. Depending on your score, you may be offered books to improve your intellectual abilities, listed below the test results.

The average IQ level is considered to be 100. If the score is closer to 120 - 135, the child may be considered gifted. In cases where the IQ exceeds 160, the child is usually said to have outstanding intellectual ability.
